Epping, NH – Coming off a victory in the 125-lap Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) event held at Claremont Speedway last month, 18 year-old Derek Griffith is set to try his hand in the 150-lap Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model event held at Star Speedway on May 9, 2015.

Derek goes on to say, “We’ll be racing Hanley Chassis Super Late Model at Star and this is the car we raced in the Florida Speedweeks earlier in the year, it’s a great car and we expect to be able to compete with the great talent on the PASS tour.”

Griffith last raced with PASS in 2014 at Star Speedway and because of a mechanical issue; the team was forced out of the event. Griffith will be going in to the 2015 Star event with more confidence and feels that the Mom’s of Manchester/LCM Racing team is in a much better place this year.

“We tested this car and we were turning some pretty consistent lap times, as long as we race, the way I know we can race, everything should work out in our favor. The team has another year of working together; Louie [Crew Chief Louie Mechalides] will undoubtedly put another car underneath me to compete with the larger PASS teams. I think we can get a solid finish at Star and build on it from there.”

The post time for the Saturday, May 9th Pro All Stars Series event from Star is 4:30pmEST

Griffith is currently the Granite State Pro Stock Series point leader and looks to return to action in that series on May 23rd as the series visits Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, NH
