A Family Tradition: Bryan Town Joins the North East Street Stock Tour Ranks

By Wayne G. Barber
NORTH STONINGTON, CT – Bryan Town will take his talents on the road, as the Charlestown, NH native will chase the inaugural North East Street Stock Tour Championship.

Town is carrying on the family tradition, as the driver of the Neat, Sweet, and Discrete Cleaning Service/ Route 12 Auto Sales/ Dairy Joy Ice Cream Chevy Monte Carlo follows in his father’s (Randy), uncle’s (Chet Utton), and cousins’ (Dale and Jason Utton) footsteps.  Town will run the entire North East Street Stock Tour (NESST) schedule, as well as run part-time at Claremont Speedway.

Beginning his racing career in 2005, Town quickly showed he had talent in the driver’s seat.  After winning the Street Stock championship in 2007, he moved to the Late Model division, running part-time, while attending Wyotech Automotive School.  In 2012, the team travelled to Devil’s Bowl with the Late Model, and finished a respectable third place in the overall standings.  Going back to his roots the following year, Town jumped back into the Street Stock division, running both Claremont Speedway and Monadnock Speedway (NH), and enjoyed success in 2014, winning nine (9) races between the two tracks.

Town not only likes to race, he LOVES it.  Even after continuing his education in the automotive industry, he had to step away from working on cars.  “It ruined my hobby,” expressed Town.

The only thing Town loves more than his hobby, is his family.  His wife (Sara) and one-year-old son (Brandon) are the recipients of most of his spare time, but also tinkers on his street-legal Chevy Camaro, as well.
As the NESST travels from track-to-track around New England, Town has his eyes set on multiple venues on the schedule, saying “It’s a tough call on what race I'm looking forward to most.  The Road Course (at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park) has to be up there, as I've always wanted to try it, and also the oval, as I've never been.  We have always ran well when visiting Lee USA Speedway (NH) for the Oktoberfest races, also.”

Not only is Town excited about the on-track action, but the off-track preparations as well, commenting “Outside the Box Promotions is great at putting out information, and seems like they’re really wide-spread, and will bring a lot of attention to the series, and drivers, which is what a new series needs.”

Town will join the North East Street Stock Tour at Lee USA Speedway, for the inaugural race, with the Tri-Track Open Modified Series, on May 17.  For more information on the North East Street Stock Tour, visit www.nestreetstocktour.com, on Facebook (N.E.
