Valenti Modified; Norm Wrenn Cement Palace Thriller !

                            Seekonk Speedway Aug. 16,2014

                                       Norm Wrenn Wins !

                                                     Valenti   Modified  Series
After a fighting to be a tight top ten race car all-night, the old master #53 Norm Wrenn ,positioned himself and then took advantage of being in the right place at the right time for his very first prestigious Valenti Modified Touring Win. This group of hard nose racers have the fan vote as the #1 Tour group in the Country two years running by #51 racings web-site and this is why they certainly deserve it. Nashua, New Hampshire should be real proud of one of their own today. Wrenn said,"I was trying to stay in contention and the car was a little loose, but we decided to stay out at every caution, I just hung on and it opened up at the end. I knew it was the checkered flag lap, I aimed for the flag stand and just stood on it Baby!
On lap 98 of the 100 lapper, the hottest driver on the east coast #21 Justine Bonsignore and the seasoned veteran who has three wins on the tour, #99 Richard Savory made contact in this bullring slugfest and Mr. Norm Wrenn was certainly the beneficiary resulting in a 0.055 second Victory. The die hard race fans at Seekonk Speedway will be talking about this Great Event for a long, long time.
In post race when Pennick was asked about his night work he said, "Well we got wrecked by the #99 on lap three, then we made the best of what we had, almost had the win and got smashed out of the way and then moved up the track and lost it to the #53. That's was about it"
Bonsignore did grab a podium finish with the Bronze badge of courage for race car owner Art Barry though. In his post race interview Justine said." We started running the top and got to second, then we crossed him over and made them look foolish and I guess they didn't like that because they launched us in the next corner. That was strike 3-4-5-6 with him this year and we've had just about enough and I'm not going to get pushed around no more, that's for sure"
Savory said in his post race interview " I just try to race people the way that they race me."Rowan may be upset about me going three low, but I didn't hit the guy that I was under, I just went around the corner. If the two guys outside me had a issue and banged, I'm sorry. The last time here, Rowan went three low and knocked me out of the consi race and all he said was " that's racing"     Veteran Rob Goodenough of Swanzey,New Hampshire, running in his very first race of the year had a very solid fifth place finish. Local phenom #76 Ryan Vanasse got his baptism also and brought his chariot home in 16 slot. Nine cautions in the 100 lap slugfest. No #13 Steve Masse or #85Todd Szegdedy and they are two of the best.
